Our first stretch goal is funded, bringing you five more coloring pages and companions stories to enjoy! I'm so excited, because you guys are going to love these.

Which means...

Stretch Goal #2

For stretch goal #2, I am bringing you more stickers based on the animals from the book!

I've already decided the first will be a wolf pup, but can you help me decide what you'd like the other two stickers to be? Please post your favorite two ideas in the comments!

Here are the options:

1. Fruit Bat

2. Lightning Bird

3. Cute Marmoset Monkey

4. grumpy winged toad

5. Ferret

I look forward to seeing what you all like best. And please do vote! Your voice counts and really helps me out. :)

How do these bonus stickers work?

I'm handling this like I did on my last campaign.

Because we hit the goal, these stickers will be added for free to the order of anyone who has backed at a merch tier--meaning they have something other than books in their order--or who has a merch add-on such as stickers, pins, or a print.

Why don't the people who have ordered just the book get it? Because the margins on the book alone are slim, and I'm relying on being able to get it to you with media mail prices, and if I add the stickers to your order, it will no longer count as media mail. However, I've built the prices of the merch items so they will cover the additional cost of shipping non-media-mail.  Thank you for understanding.

You are welcome to change your pledge or add additional items at any time, if you want. Reach out if you have questions about how that works.

I can't wait to bring more of these character to life in color like this. We're already close, so I can't imagine it will take long. Thank you, everyone!

Our First Stretch Goal is Here!
over 2 years ago – Wed, Sep 27, 2023 at 09:12:27 AM

Hello, everyone! I’m excited to announce our first stretch goal!

Though these books always start out with 25 illustrations and companion stories in mind, my goal is always at least 30. And we’re going to make that happen! 🤩

For our first stretch goal, we’re adding five more authors and coloring pages to the book! The authors are Julia Vee, Solo Storm (AKA Monica Leonelle), Kevin Pettway, Chrishaun Keller-Hanna, and Ken Bebelle.

$3,200 = five more authors and pages!

All five of these people have really admirable author careers and are worth checking out, which is why I’m adding their bios below. 🙂

A question has come up a few times, so I thought I would address it here. People have asked, “Are all these contributing authors getting paid?” The answer is yes! In fact, because of this Kickstarter campaign, I’ll be able to pay all 25+ authors a short story pro rate, which is something a lot of anthologies can’t afford to do.

So all of your support is helping authors earn money for their creativity. Some of these authors have many books in their oeuvre, but for several, this is their first time getting paid for a story! So, as I said, I’m so grateful to you backers for making this possible. You’re making dreams come true.  ❤️

Please continue to share this campaign with your friends and family. Even though we’ve reached the funding goal, this is only the beginning. I have some really big stretch goals in mind that I’m excited to announce once all the details are worked out.

You guys rock. Let’s see how fast we can reach this $3,200 stretch goal!

P.S. It feels really amazing to be able to make this post only 24 hours after launch. I feel so lucky to have y'all in my life.

Startlingly, neither Kevin’s wife nor dogs are remotely impressed with these accomplishments.

Ken and his wife live in the Pacific Northwest and he longs to grow the perfect tomato.
